2010 And Forward – What to Expect
December 27, 2009 by admin · 33 Comments
I want you to know that there’s no better time than to get excited about your life and goals - not because it’s going to turn 2010, it’s simply because today is always the best time.
There are 5 areas of life that I would seek to improve - health, relationship, spirituality, financial wealth and personal growth. None of them are at a higher priority than the others as they’re all holistically balanced to create the right combination of success in life.
It’s a fact that if you don’t have financial wealth, your life could be slightly “inconvenient”. If you gonna give me the lecture that the monks and priests live happily ever after without seeking wealth, then I’m not going to argue with you. But look - you’re no monk or priest so be real, nothing to be embarrassed of.
Money is never evil. It’s a big wrong myth that rich people are arrogant, greedy or selfish and as a matter of fact, most of them are the opposite. So I would suggest you to make it a goal in 2010 to get to know some millionaires and rich people to learn what their secrets to wealth are. Who knows - they might even pass you some opportunities you can work together with them.
If you think you’re poor today, it’s because you ‘choose’ to become this way by your acts and thoughts. Same thing - if you’re rich, it’s because the way how you act upon opportunities and think of positive outcomes.
Would you believe me that I’ve received emails asking me to give them money because they believe in Law of Attraction and want the Universe to give them money from the sky? No wonder they’re broke and poor because they don’t take responsibility to for their own future. People just don’t understand how Law of Attraction actually works.
Look - you have to work for your own success. If you’re smart, you buy some courses or attend seminars to uncover the shortcuts or just take the long road by testing out on your own. Your choice. Both ways are fine and both still require work.
In 2010, I’ll be focusing more on the concept of multiple income streams (MSI). Now, MSI does not means that you got to have different kinds of income streams - it simply means you have more income streams. For instance, I will create income streams from offline publication books, seminars with other speakers and so on. So focus on what you already have or doing very well, then ‘branch’ out from there.
The other 2 important areas that are usually missed out when someone pursue the goal of attaining financial wealth is relationship and health. My friend, time flies very fast. Within a blink of an eye, you’ll see your children already grown up or your folks getting old. So cherish what you have now because by end of the day, your success is actually measured by the relationship that you have - not the money in your bank account. I’ve experience this from the sad and happy angle, when my Grandma passed away and also, seeing my baby girl growing right now in 2009.
Health? Put it this way, you can’t enjoy spending your money earned if you don’t have the body and mind to enjoy it. But I can tell you this - don’t be a health freak and miss out the joy of life. I mean, don’t eat cheese burger every day but hey, don’t torture yourself of not eating that because you’re worried that you’re going to get heart attack or something. Life is short, enjoy your food but just don’t overdo it. Dude, I’m not asking you to take drugs, it’s a cheese burger for Pete’s sake.
One more thing about health - if you can afford it, do take supplements especially those green stuff supplements. Our food and environment are getting worse so you need whatever ‘effortless’ thing to give you the edge to stay focus, energetic and vibrant when you’re on track to success.
Spirituality comes from within. Whether it’s your connection to God, your inner voice, Law of Attraction and so on, it gives you the serenity and harmony in your mind and soul. You need that. You’ve seen and heard of stories people ‘let go’ of everything and pursue a greater goal because they have aligned with their spirituality part and ultimately, it leads to happiness. My point? Spirituality leads to happiness.
Funny thing is, our ultimate goal is suppose to be happy but you don’t hear people attending seminars on how to be happy because they thought money makes them happy and so on. The truth… happiness is obtain when you’re grateful with what you have and understands that you have a beautiful life - regardless of who you are.
And lastly, I’ll be seeking for more personal growth in 2010. Personal growth is about enriching your experience and expanding your knowledge. You see, the only thing that does not change is Change itself. So if you want to transform yourself into a better person in any positive angle, then I highly suggest you to uncover many more secrets to personal growth that you are still unaware of.
Whether you attend seminars regularly, listen to audios or join Success Trace Private Membership, it’s your responsibility to continue ‘upgrading’ yourself. No one’s going to motivate you or give you the cutting edge strategies for success - you got to seek that out for yourself because, again, it’s your life.
One more thing - stop telling people about your sad story or TELLING YOURSELF, get over that and start thinking how you can reach your goals (but please, not by asking the Universe to give you money). You might think it’s easy for me to say this today because I’m “Patric Chan” or any of those craps… think again, bucko. I used to be in your shoes too and so do Anthony Robbins, Robert Kiyosaki, Mark Victor Hansen, Robert Allen, Jack Canfield and all of those gurus you admire. So in all fairness, I think if you start taking full responsibility for your life and create the eagerness to be far more supreme than where you are right now, you “Chan” do it. I believe.
If you like what you’ve read, I look forward to hear from you. Just leave your feedback or message in the Comments below and I’ll personally read it.
To your success in 2010,
Patric Chan

You Can Take Life for Granted
October 20, 2009 by admin · 15 Comments
You can take Life for granted, if you want.
Yesterday, I’ve shared with everyone about Grandma leaving us forever. She has been with me for many years and I’ve introduced her to all of my subscribers since 2004. Well, when the time to leave this world comes, it cannot be prevented because this is part of life – we live and we die.
www.whenwealthmeansnothing.com
But the sad part is, I didn’t see Grandma for almost a month before she passed away – simply because I was ‘busy’ working and being lazy to spare my time with her. When she’s alive and healthy, I always think that I can visit her next week and that’s exactly what I thought a few days back. But right now, we don’t get to go out for an outing anymore. Our relationship is now, slightly different.
I don’t feel embarrass to say out this truth because I truly want to pass the message to you, right in your face. If you don’t cherish those who you love or love you right now, you will never know what will happen tomorrow.
You know what, probably, nothing’s going to happen.
But why not enjoy the happiness that you can right now?
At the same time, I hope you’re not getting the negative feeling that I’m left feeling regret. That’s not how I felt (although I did in the beginning), it’s just a ‘mixed’ feeling that cannot be explained in words when you lose someone very close to you.
Going to next thing that happened in my business life recently…
I did not back up my hard drive. Yup, it ‘crashed’. Everything there was gone. But here’s the thing - it already shows me some signs that it’s going to crash but I ignore it because I was lazy to do the backing stuff and thought I can do it when I’m ‘free’. The ‘free’ part never come and now, I’m slightly handicap with my business without it.
Other things that happened to me because I was taking Life for granted…
* I missed my high school classmate wedding because I didn’t check the wedding card for the date. There were 2 empty seats reserved for my wife and me in his grand wedding - imagine how I explain to him the next day that I miss out the date.
* I didn’t launch a new course that I was developing because I thought I can launch this anytime - well, a competitor just launched a similar course. So when I launch mine, not only it’ll be harder for me to sell, I’ll probably end looking like copycat.
* Right now, I couldn’t finish my presentation for an upcoming seminar that I’ll be speaking because I thought that I can do this last minute. Honestly, I never thought that Grandma’s going to leave so soon and my hard drive’s going to crash THIS WEEK.
From today onwards, I’ve committed to myself NOT to take things and Life for granted.
Let me ask you…
Are you taking things for granted right now, in your LIFE?
That you think your friends will still be your friends tomorrow?
Your elderly love ones will still be around?
Your spouse will continue to be understanding towards you if you’re always doing things your way?
WILL YOUR DREAMS STILL BE HERE TOMORROW IF YOU KEEP ON DELAYING THEM?
If you want to say, “I love you” to someone, do it now.
If you want to start a business, do it now.
If you want to travel, do it now.
If you want to learn something new, do it now.
If you want to watch your diet, do it now.
If you want to start going to the gym, do it now.
If you want to spend time with your kids, do it now.
If you want to go fishing for God’s sake, do it.
Don’t wait because you’ll never know what will happen tomorrow. If it doesn’t happen tomorrow, it might happen next week, next month or next year. And worse still, you might not even do it at all.
Look at Michael Jackson.
The fact is, there are people who take him for granted. Now, you can be an anti-Michael Jackson and hate me too… but my point of bringing MJ here is not to debate about his lifestyle.
The question is… why appreciating him as a person, his contribution and talent… after he died?
If they want to make him proud and happy, do it when he’s still alive so that he can appreciates it and feel worthwhile for what he has contributed and how he touched millions of life.
I’m not saying that he should not be acknowledged and praised today… he should… but he should be acknowledged and praised when he’s still alive… and dancing and singing, “Heal The World, Make It A Better Place…”.
I guess that’s the problem with how our brain is wired - we tend to appreciate the things that we lose but when they’re in front of us, we take them for granted.
I’ve already make my vow to stop taking things and Life for granted. (Although, once in a while, I might since I’m not perfect. I’m human.)
Are you ready to make yours?
Or are you going to take this for granted as well?

Your 2 Wings To Fly
September 15, 2009 by admin · 11 Comments
I saw a bird with a broken wing.
It fumbles around sadly, unable to lift itself up to the sky again. But with the proper treatment, the wing will be healed and the bird will be able to fly off – be on top of the trees, cars, houses and people again.
So what does this have to do with money and you?
Just like a bird, you need 2 wings to fly.
Those people who complain that they don’t have enough money in their life is like a bird with a broken wing but not seeking any treatment to heal it.
One wing is the wing of action and another one is the wing of mindset.
The thing is this– both of these wings can be fixed if the desire to ‘fly’ is strong enough.
One person who have the right mindset but not taking any action complains he’s poor but in reality, he doesn’t do much to be wealthy. Yeah, you could know how to be rich or do some new age manifestation but nothing’s going to come up if you don’t do anything, PHYSICALLY.
The other person keeps on doing things to make money and yet he is poor. Well, it’s because he still doesn’t figure out that it’s the mindset that ‘attracts’ the money. Besides, realistically, you need some knowledge (mindset) how to be rich, rather than just working hard like a dog.
The difference of a bird and a person is a bird is born to fly. If it fells down, it’ll do it’s best to fly again. There’s no second option - the wing must be healed to fly again.
Well, a person is slightly different. He can live if he’s not rich and because of that, the determination is not as much as a bird wanting to fly.
But then again, you must remember that a Person is “born” to be rich too because he’s born with the equal benefits with everyone else - two hands, two legs, a brain, two eyes and so on. It’s just because he can think of options, he decided to change his life.
How much is your desire to “fly”?
A bit?
Then your wing’s not gonna be fixed anytime soon, dude.
You see, the problem is not the economy; your boss, where you live and whatever crappy reasons available out there.
The problem is your WING.
Figure out which wing of yours is broken so that you can fix that up, FAST.
The tricky part is, most people ignore the fact that the mindset to be wealthy can be compromised. Do you know that your brain uses 20% of the energy of your entire body? That’s 1/5 of EVERYTHING you got there.
The first step is to see the ‘blind spot’. It’s called the ‘blind spot’ because you can’t see it but it’s there - everyone else sees it. Get yourself educated about success and money first before you attempt to be rich.
The blind spot is like ‘internal bleeding’. You see, there are a lot of people ‘bleeding’ today, especially in our modern society but they can’t see it. It’s called, “emotional bleeding”. (I’ll probably write about this some other time but not now.)
Once you fixed your ‘blind spot’ problem, you’ll fix your mindset. I told you earlier than the mindset game is very important because it allows you to have the skill to ’see’ opportunities that can make money for you. Opportunities are everywhere. Really, even while you’re reading my stuff right now.
You might say, “Come on… how can this be true?”
Then you haven’t fixed your mindset wing yet. Even if there’s none, the person with the right mindset will say yes and create that opportunity. That’s the different from the Poor and the Rich - the Poor will give up and come up with an excuse to avoid work whille the Rich will deny the lack of opportunity in his situation and create his own path.
To see opportunity, it starts by seeing positive things in the circumstances you are in. Like right now, I got Chicken Pox (it’s day 8 now) and I can’t leave my house and have to stay away from my family. I miss my wife and baby dearly.
But on a positive side, I appreciate my wife for taking care of me and appreciate my family’s love more than previously – right now, I just look forward for next week where I can hug my wife and cuddle my baby again.
At the same time, it also helped me to realize that my business income did not decline even though I wasn’t ‘working’ for 3 days straight. This is good news because I could have more time for myself now.
And lastly, I got the time to enjoy myself watching some DVDs at home that I know I’ll never spend that time watching them if I’m able to work.
I’m not sure what you’ve learn in this post but I hope you get the points that can help you in your life.
If you have any feedbacks, I would be happy to hear from you by leaving your Comment below. And if you want to discuss this with others, go to the forum and post your message.
Take care,

There is A Science of Getting Rich
September 2, 2009 by admin · Leave a Comment
“THERE is a Science of getting rich, and it is an exact science, like algebra or arithmetic. There are certain laws which govern the process of acquiring riches; once these laws are learned and obeyed by any man, he will get rich with mathematical certainty.
The ownership of money and property comes as a result of doing things in a certain way; those who do things in this Certain Way, whether on purpose or accidentally, get rich; while those who do not do things in this Certain Way, no matter how hard they work or how able they are, remain poor.
It is a natural law that like causes always produce like effects; and, therefore, any man or woman who learns to do things in this certain way will infallibly get rich.
That the above statement is true is shown by the following facts:
Getting rich is not a matter of environment, for, if it were, all the people in certain neighborhoods would become wealthy; the people of one city would all be rich, while those of other towns would all be poor; or the inhabitants of one state would roll in wealth, while those of an adjoining state would be in poverty.
But everywhere we see rich and poor living side by side, in the same environment, and often engaged in the same vocations. When two men are in the same locality, and in the same business, and one gets rich while the other remains poor, it shows that getting rich is not, primarily, a matter of environment.
Some environments may be more favorable than others, but when two men in the same business are in the same neighborhood, and one gets rich while the other fails, it indicates that getting rich is the result of doing things in a Certain Way.
And further, the ability to do things in this certain way is not due solely to the possession of talent, for many people who have great talent remain poor, while other who have very little talent get rich.
Studying the people who have got rich, we find that they are an average lot in all respects, having no greater talents and abilities than other men. It is evident that they do not get rich because they possess talents and abilities that other men have not, but because they happen to do things in a Certain Way.
Getting rich is not the result of saving, or “thrift”; many very penurious people are poor, while free spenders often get rich.
Nor is getting rich due to doing things which others fail to do; for two men in the same business often do almost exactly the same things, and one gets rich while the other remains poor or becomes bankrupt.
From all these things, we must come to the conclusion that getting rich is the result of doing things in a Certain Way.
If getting rich is the result of doing things in a Certain Way, and if like causes always produce like effects, then any man or woman who can do things in that way can become rich, and the whole matter is brought within the domain of exact science.
The question arises here, whether this Certain Way may not be so difficult that only a few may follow it.
This cannot be true, as we have seen, so far as natural ability is concerned. Talented people get rich, and blockheads get rich; intellectually brilliant people get rich, and very stupid people get rich; physically strong people get rich, and weak and sickly people get rich.
Some degree of ability to think and understand is, of course, essential; but in so far natural ability is concerned, any man or woman who has sense enough to read and understand these words can certainly get rich.
Also, we have seen that it is not a matter of environment. Location counts for something; one would not go to the heart of the Sahara and expect to do successful business. Getting rich involves the necessity of dealing with men, and of being where there are people to deal with; and if these people are inclined to deal in the way you want to deal, so much the better. But that is about as far as environment goes.
If anybody else in your town can get rich, so can you; and if anybody else in your state can get rich, so can you.
Again, it is not a matter of choosing some particular business or profession. People get rich in every business, and in every profession; while their next door neighbors in the same vocation remain in poverty.
It is true that you will do best in a business which you like, and which is congenial to you; and if you have certain talents which are well developed, you will do best in a business which calls for the exercise of those talents.
Also, you will do best in a business which is suited to your locality; an ice-cream parlor would do better in a warm climate than in Greenland, and a salmon fishery will succeed better in the Northwest than in Florida, where there are no salmon.
But, aside from these general limitations, getting rich is not dependent upon your engaging in some particular business, but upon your learning to do things in a Certain Way. If you are now in business, and anybody else in your locality is getting rich in the same business, while you are not getting rich, it is because you are not doing things in the same Way that the other person is doing them.
No one is prevented from getting rich by lack of capital. True, as you get capital the increase becomes more easy and rapid; but one who has capital is already rich, and does not need to consider how to become so. No matter how poor you may be, if you begin to do things in the Certain Way you will begin to get rich; and you will begin to have capital. The getting of capital is a part of the process of getting rich; and it is a part of the result which invariably follows the doing of things in the Certain Way.
You may be the poorest man on the continent, and be deeply in debt; you may have neither friends, influence, nor resources; but if you begin to do things in this way, you must infallibly begin to get rich, for like causes must produce like effects.
If you have no capital, you can get capital; if you are in the wrong business, you can get into the right business; if you are in the wrong location, you can go to the right location; and you can do so by beginning in your present business and in your present location to do things in the Certain Way which causes success.”
I’ve gotten this short manuscript from The Science Of Getting Rich Book but don’t you think it’s awesome?
It’s AWESOME to know that if you’re terrible of becoming wealthy, if you’re jobless, if you’re living paycheck-to-payment or you’re just not making enough, it’s because you’ve been following the WRONG WAY.
There are many “right ways” to wealth but I can tell you a few of my right ways that will never go wrong - STOP WHINNING and STOP LOOKING AT YOUR LOUSY PROBLEMS.
Start celebrating your life right now and look at your opportunities.
Stop being a cheapskate and invest in yourself (for pleasure, knowledge, fulfillment, etc).
Stop doing the same thing every time and explore new ways of doing something differently because if you do the same stuff, you’re gonna get the same result.
