9 Simple Success Formulas

Here are the additional 9 simple success formulas from what I’ve posted earlier at 10 Simple Success Formulas:

1.    Celebrate The Small Milestones

Just as you will reward yourself for achieving your goal, you should also celebrate small milestones.

If you have twenty tasks listed that you have to complete to achieve your goal, celebrate the completion of each of them with something small. Then after the next one, another small treat. This will keep you focused on your objectives and gear you toward that next milestone, and then on to the big finale.

It’s important to staying focused that you take the time to celebrate your achievements. They may not be “Climbing Mount Everest” significant, but they are equally as monumental to achieving your goal.

2.    Reward Yourself

Successful people create a tradition for their successes. When they accomplish something, they reward themselves with something important. It doesn’t really matter what it is, but bait yourself with something you really want and make that your prize. Whether it’s a new dress, a trip to your favorite restaurant, a night out at the movies, whatever it is, congratulate yourself for your successes.

A very famous fashion designer rewards herself with a pair, sometimes several pairs, of one of a kind shoes from her favorite shoe designer every time she finishes a collection. Her specially built room to display her shoe collection is a testament to her success.

No matter what you choose, it’s important to choose something you like and can look at from time to time as a reminder that you succeeded.

Be good to yourself. You deserve it 100%.

3.    Look At Your Fears

Be honest with yourself. What are the specific things holding you back from reaching your ultimate goal?

As you identify what you worry about and then tackle those things head on, with each success, you will start to be more and more motivated.

A lot of people who dream of starting their own business don’t get started because they are afraid they will go about it the wrong way. As a result, many give up even before they take the firs step.

What they don’t realize is that they should just go all out and do it. Everything is a learning process and each lesson learned makes you even better.

The point being: address those fears. Whatever they are, whatever these obstacles are that keep you from staying focused and active, face them, find a way to overcome them and then move on as someone better and stronger.

4.    Take Risks

Often times when someone feels they’re backed into a corner, they lose desire and motivation. They feel forced to do something instead of wanting to do it.

And taking a risk at times can help get them fired back up.

What kind of risks?

Being totally honest. Sometimes it is good to just say how you feel, even if those feelings are a bit controversial. Some of the most motivating (and ultimately, rewarding) things you can do is to be totally honest and just share what’s on your heart. If your boss has an idea that you thinks really sucks but nobody dared to tell him because he’s the boss, why not be the bad guy and tell him? Be diplomatic about it, of course. You want to be noticed and highlight certain points that your boss might not think about, not fired.

Being totally vulnerable. Another way to stay motivated by taking risks is to open up and let people see the real you. So what if you’re a male – you can still share how you love your wife and kids. It may not be something macho to talk about, but you might be surprised at how many other people feel the same way. I frequently share about my life through my blog. It allows people to see me as a real person that they can relate to.

Being totally personal. Want to stay motivated? Talk about what you love. Not only does it allow you to stay motivated by sharing more about you and the things you are passionate about, it also allows people to get to know you on a more intimate level. And that builds all kinds of positive things into a relationship: trust, loyalty, friendship. So, get personal and share who you are, what you think and feel, what you want and strive for in life. The real you.

The key to taking risks isn’t to be careless. It’s about being honest and forthright, even when others may not agree with you..

5.    Step into the Unknown

Instead of sticking with something you know you’re successful with, try something new and unknown. There are so many different ways you can accomplish a goal so mix it up.

For example if your goal is to get rich, here are your options:

•    Start your own business
•    Aim for a promotion at work
•    Join a MLM business
•    Learn about investment and build a profitable investment portfolio
•    Find a side income stream if you have a full time job

You can do all of the above or just pick one or two to start then combine the rest as you progress. You may even find other ways not mentioned here.

The point is this: to stay motivated, switch things up. It couldn’t possibly get dull in doing that. The above are just examples. Think about your own goals. What are the many ways you can achieve them and how would you mix them up to get the most successful combination?

6.    Spread The Word

Sometimes sharing your goals and aspirations with close friends and family is a huge motivator. When people expose their dreams, in a way, they’ve made themselves accountable for their own success. In essence, they’ve now presented a challenge to themselves. In addition to making these desires public, they have also created a cheering section.

Now, when you aren’t motivated, you can always have those people remind you of why you wanted to achieve your goal. Have them repeat back to you what you had shared with them, how important writing was to you. They can help you keep your dreams alive.

By keeping other people involved, you not only have accountability, you have people waiting to see what you can accomplish, sometimes as much as you want it yourself. You can participate in my self help forum for free.

7.    Watch Your Progress

Whether it’s looking back at the past 5 years of your achievements, or just the past 5 months, take a look at your progress. As you achieve more and more things, it’s easy to become more and more motivated to keep going.

Let’s face it, the closer you are to the finish line, the less likely you are to turn around and quit, right?

When I first started my business, I was really excited about it all. That’s natural. But, over time, I got kind of discouraged. Things weren’t progressing as fast as I wanted them to. I tried many things but am just not seeing the results.

But, slowly, progress was made. I started to see sales and a lot of things about business were starting to make sense for me.

Sometimes just looking back over where you’ve been and what you’ve got done so far can get you to give a bit more. And soon, you’ve made it!

Progress is to be counted and applauded, even if it’s “baby steps”. Confucius said, “A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.”

Think about that the next time you need motivation.

8.    Give Credit Where Credit Is Due

Often, successful people don’t make it on their own. There is always someone there in the background helping them in each step of their journey to success, whether it is their friends, parents, spouses, etc.

When you read a book written by someone successful, you will always see them penning a short dedication to the people who have inspired them to become who they are today.

When you do become successful, don’t act like you are right up there with God. Remember, someone once said, “Don’t step on the heads of the people you meet on the way up because you will need them to support you on the way down.”

9.    Have Fun

Whatever it is you choose to do, it ought to be fun. If you don’t enjoy it, then you probably need to find something else to do with your life.

More than anything, you need to enjoy what you’re doing. Don’t take life so serious or everything becomes a chore. Find the interest and humor in everything you aspire to achieve. Enjoy the learning process, the research, and the ultimate outcome.

This is probably one of the most important tips of all. If you don’t enjoy what you’re doing, you probably won’t succeed.

It’s an adventure.

Enjoy the ride.

10 Simple Success Formulas

Here are 10 simple success formulas – you don’t need to use all of them but if you were just to practice SOME OF THEM, I can bet that you will get better results to achieve your goals.

1. Picture Yourself Already Achieving Your Goal

Congratulations – You have achieved your goal. How does that feel like?

Maybe your goal is to make $200,000.00 by the end of this year. Think about how that will change your life. What will you do with the money? Settle all your debts? Treat yourself and your family to a much deserved vacation?

Or maybe it’s as simple as getting to enjoy a better quality of life in terms of the house that you live in, the food on your table and the amount of time to enjoy yourself doing the things you love.

Think about the END RESULTS. What will you accomplish by achieving your goal? Don’t worry about how you are going to achieve your goal at this stage.

Sometimes the key to get you started is to envision the prize awaiting. We all need to get motivated at times.

What motivates you? Is it money? Fame? Publicity? Envision it. There’s a reason why you are setting a goal – any goal – for yourself.

But you won’t get your hands on the prize until you fully achieve your goal.

2. Model Other Successful People

When you need that extra boost to stay motivated, conduct some research and learn how other successful people started out. The majority at one time or another waited tables, worked construction, or cleaned houses. They weren’t always successful but had to work their way up.

Seeing the success of people we admire is a great way to stay motivated. Each one of them had to be 100% committed or they wouldn’t be where they are today. Knowing that other people go through the same emotions and struggles, and learning what they did to get past those barriers, will help you out a lot.

Another thing you can do is look at HOW they stay motivated. Many of them share their “secrets” in interviews or books they have written. You can even approach some of them via email or telephone and ASK them how they overcome difficulties.

When you see something that works, try it yourself. Find out how others “made it” and do what they did.

3. Believe In Your Abilities

No matter what goal you set for yourself, it’s important to believe in yourself. At one time or another, every successful person needs learn the ropes. However, it’s critical that you know in your heart you can do whatever you set your heart to achieve.

There are times when I get frustrated and think that I’m not going anywhere with a project. At times like these I remind myself that I am running a successful business that continues to rake in profit for me. I’m not saying it because of my ego, I say it to remind myself that I am successful, and I know what I am doing. And it helps to bring my confidence back.

Maybe you have never run a business before. I didn’t start off with the business ready made either. It took a long time of testing the waters before things start to run smoothly for me.

But, that didn’t stop me. I BELIEVED IN MYSELF AND MY ABILITIES. In many ways, confidence is in your head. You must believe that whatever you want to achieve is something worthwhile and that you have the skills to achieve it.
There will be times when you will find yourself feeling completely stressed and second guessing your abilities. When this happens, and it will, take a deep breath and remind yourself that you are good enough and deserve what you want.

Feeling a bit overwhelmed is always part of the game when you are just starting out. But remember, you can always go back and rectify any part of your plan that didn’t work out until it runs like clockwork.

In the end, it will all come together beautifully.

4. Have a Purpose

To consistently stay on target of your objectives, you need a purpose, something that drives you. You need something that is waiting at the end of the journey – at the completion of your project.

Compare someone who enrolls in a MLM program in order to earn a side income to finance his university education and someone else who enrolls in the same MLM program because he thinks it’s an easy way to earn money. Both have access to the same support and materials from their teams but who do you think will become successful in his business? Of course the first person.

He had a purpose, a real purpose that drove him to succeed. Keeping your objective in sight is much easier when you’re excited about your work and strive to succeed at your goals. The great thing is that it’s never too late to get started.

Know something else? Your purpose doesn’t have to something great to strive for. It can be because you wanted to prove to the world and yourself that you can do something. That’s something to focus on was well.

One of the most satisfying things in life is to do something that someone told you couldn’t be done. When I first started my business, everybody, my parents included, thought I should just get a regular job because they never thought I could do it.

Looks like I proved them wrong.

5. Organize Yourself

You must get organized and stay organized if you want to achieve any goal. Each time you get ready to attempt a new task, ask yourself some very simple questions.

– What is the purpose of this task?
– How does this particular task contribute to my ultimate goal?
– What do I need to accomplish this task?
– How much time should I devote to this task?
– What must I do to tackle this task?

Once you’ve answered those questions honestly, you will have better focus to begin.

There is just no other way to get started than to have a game plan and to stick with it. We’d be lost without it.

Invest in a good planner or organizer. Trust me, it’s money well spent. It is critical to your success simply because it helps you to stay on target and complete each task.

6. Understand Your Goals

If you want to get serious about achieving success, sit down and actually write a mission statement. Identify why achieving a goal is important to you, what you expect to get out of it, and what results you want from it.

• Do you want to earn money?

• Do you want to experience a sense of accomplishment?

• Do you want recognition?

• Do you want fame or credibility?

• Do you want to be able to help others?

• Do you want ALL OF THE ABOVE?

• And more?

When you need motivation, look at your mission statement and re-read what it was that had you aspiring to be successful in the first place.

For the person who finds great success, it’s perfectly fine to be proud of your accomplishments and awards, but don’t get so caught up in things that you lose sight of why you started in the first place. A mission statement will also help keep you grounded.

7. Write Objectives Down

This is an extremely important step and one that shouldn’t be missed. If you don’t write your objectives down, you will quickly lose sight of them. Keeping them as a visual will help you achieve them.

The most important objective is to identify WHAT YOU WANT TO ACHIEVE with your goal. What is it that you want to gain once you have achieved your goal?

Staying on track means looking back over what you’ve already done so far and determining if it does meet your objectives. In other words, if you want to lose weight, how much have you managed to lose so far, if any?

If our actions and results are in keeping with your objectives, keep moving on. If not, then what areas need fine tuning?

8. Create a Plan of Action

To help you achieve your goals and stay focused on the objectives, you should have a well laid out action plan. This plan will cover the steps you need to take to get you from where you are currently, to the ultimate goal of where you want to be.

Many people tell you to set high goals and try to get to them. Personally, I think that’s a recipe for discouragement. If you set ten goals and you only get to one of them, you’ll feel like a failure.

On the other hand, if you have ten REACHABLE goals and you nail them all, you feel like a success. And that feeling fuels you on to accomplish more and more.

Try to set for yourself realistic, reachable goals then try to go “above and beyond” them. In other words, your goal for today might be to make 5 sales. Then try to make 10 sales. If you get 10 sales, then hooray! But, if you only get the 5 you originally planned to get (which is very realistic) then you’ll still feel like you’ve accomplished something.
It’s all in your mind. Keep your mind happy and feeling victorious.

9. Use a Checklist

Another great way to stay focused on your objectives is to use a checklist. Write down your entire action step for a project. Do this in VERY DETAILED steps. Why? Because you get to check off completed tasks much more frequently which again makes you feel like you’re accomplishing more.

Have checklists for everything. Part of that is to stay organized, because there are usually so many things going on at the same time. But, part of it is to MARK THROUGH the tasks you have completed. Nothing feels more than being able to see a sheet of paper with a whole page of tasks checked off as completed.

The more you are able to visualize that you’ve accomplished, the more you will stay focused and get your objectives accomplished.

10. Tackle One Goal at a Time

Closely relating to that is HOW you tackle that checklist. While sometimes it’s important and necessary to look at the big picture and not so much the little things, you might try focusing on only a few goals at a time. If you start looking at everything at once, you can become confused and frustrated, and might lose sight of where you want to be.

Instead, concentrate your efforts only until THE NEXT ENTRY ON THE CHECKLIST. Don’t look at the entire checklist, just what’s next.

When we travel, we take a look at the full map to see where we will be going and to get an idea of which way we’ll be traveling. BUT, during the road trip itself, we focus on ONE ROAD AT A TIME. All we need to know is which way to turn NEXT. What’s important during the journey is the next step.

Same thing applies to achieving a goal. Yes, take a look at the whole map and see where you are going. But focus on the next entry on the checklist. You can’t complete the journey until you take the next step in front of you.

To your success,

The World’s Greatest Self-improvement Superheroes and Their Success Secrets

This is a guest article by Michael Lee:

Re: The World’s Greatest Self-improvement Superheroes and Their Success Secrets by Michael Lee

Have you ever realized that you have the power to get anything you want and be anything you want to be? If you’re still clueless about your abilities, continue reading and learn about the success secrets of the world’s greatest self-improvement superheroes.

In a land full of potentials, powerful superheroes live in happiness and fulfillment. But they’re not just ordinary superheroes; they belong to the highest breeds of the self-improvement clan. They possess the superhuman ability to get anything they want. Let’s meet them and discover their success secrets.

1) ASSIGNMENTORS

These superheroes are able to acquire any quality or ability that they may desire. They even have the power to instill or “assign” qualities to others, hence contributing to the immense build-up of confidence and happiness.

Success Secret:

They use other names perceived to be superior. If they want to encourage someone to write better, they might say, “You’re a great writer, Ernest Hemmingway. I believe you can always surpass your previous articles.”

By assigning the name Ernest Hemmingway to the writer, they implant within him, in a subconscious manner, the writing prowess of Ernest. On the other hand, the writer will try his best to live up to everyone’s expectations that he, indeed, possesses the ability of Mr. Hemmingway.

They also do the bizarre yet highly powerful practice of putting someone else’s head into their heads, at least in their minds. If they want to be as intelligent as Einstein, they go to a quiet place where they can relax and concentrate. Then they imagine wearing Einstein’s head over them. They absorb his aura; and surprisingly, they will begin to think, act, and feel like Einstein.

2) GOAL MASTERS

Goal masters are positively mad scientists who meticulously prepare well-laid plans and goals that allow them to conquer their future.

Success Secret:

They write down their goals and break them into tiny bite-sized chunks. They know the importance of doing it step-by-step, little by little, to get to their destination. They have the power of flexibility (No, not the power of elasticity) – but the power to adjust to the circumstances, prepare new goals, and continue pursuing them bit-by-bit. They are master motivators with the discipline to stick to their objectives. They enjoy the journey in the attainment of their goals.

Goal masters know their limits. They know that if their goals are irrational, they’ll get results that will further prevent them from attaining their objectives. For example, if they set a goal to make a million dollars in a month (unless they are one of those financial geniuses), their subconscious will command them to sacrifice sleep, ignore stress, work endlessly, etc. And when they actually do what their subconscious minds tell them, they’ll fail, get frustrated, and give up, thinking that nothing works no matter how hard they try.

Therefore, goal masters set their goals to achievable mode. Their goals can be difficult to achieve, but they make sure they are possible to attain. Instead of the above scenario, they set something like earning $20,000 a month. After they achieve that feat, they set a higher goal of say, $40,000 a month. They know the value of patience and working systematically.

3) HOCUS FOCUS

These magicians can tackle any task at lightning-fast speeds and with laser-like accuracy.

Success Secret:

They focus their energies on one thing at a time, and give it all they got. All their attentions are concentrated on the particular task at hand. They are able to endure and withstand the outside distractions because they have developed the discipline, will power, and determination to continue pushing until their purpose has been accomplished.

4) TIME COMMANDERS

These superheroes are able to make time submit to their will. They have the power to summon all the time in the world to do whatever they please.

Success Secret:

They are extremely organized in everything that they do.

They put labels on bottles, place similar files on one folder, and prepare in advance a list of things they have to do for the next day.

They can also use their minds to organize things they have to remember. Studies have shown that people could only retain information that fit between 5 to 9 categories at a time. This is the 7+-2 rule of Neurolinguistic Programming.

Time commanders are aware of this rule; hence, they have devised a strategy known as “categorization.” If they have many things to do, they group related stuffs together. They combine activities such as reading books, listening to educational tapes, and watching training videos into a category such as “Education.” They group swimming, playing basketball, and paying fees for the gym in a category called “Fitness.” They do this for all their other tasks.

Their greatest strategy is known as “delegation.” They know the incomparable power of leverage. They delegate trivial and repetitive tasks to other people who can do them satisfactorily, so they can concentrate on becoming more productive with their most valued possession – Time.

5) VISUALIZERS

The Visualizers can bring into reality anything that their powerful minds can conceive.

Success Secret:

Everyday, they keenly visualize what they want to become or what they want to achieve. They envisage the event so clearly, that they can actually feel and experience the happiness, excitement, and other strong emotions accompanied by their visualization.

The Universe interprets the pictures unleashed by their subconscious minds and transforms them to reality.

6) AFFIRMATIONARIES

These superheroes use the power of words to get anything they like and be anything they want to be.

Success Secret:

They loudly chant the mantras of success (known as affirmations) everyday with passion and the belief that they are already getting and experiencing what they are chanting. They don’t say, ” I will be a great doctor” or whatever they want to be. They say, “I am the greatest doctor in the world.” And they believe it with all their hearts; that’s why they succeed.

7) ABUNDANCE ATTRACTORS

They attract fortunes, luck, blessings, or the so-called good things in life.

Success Secret:

They cut off any negative thoughts or problems from their minds, and count their blessings. They thank God/the Universe/people around them for all the wonderful things they’re receiving, have received, and will be receiving.

By doing this, they are acknowledging that they are indeed blessed and flowing with abundance. And by showing gratitude and giving thanks, they are befriending the Universe to give them more.

They possess the spirit of giving, and they give generously from the heart. If they want more money, they give money to those who need them more. If they want to have lots of friends, they become trusted friends to everyone they meet.

But they do not expect anything in return. They give because they want to and because it makes them happy, not because they have a hidden agenda in mind.

They also know how to receive gratefully, aside from being great givers.

If someone compliments them, they don’t say, “No, I’m not that good.” Instead, they say, “Thank you.” By being grateful and appreciative to those who have given something to them, they are attracting more blessings and abundance into their lives.

8) ATTITUDE SHIFTERS

They remain positive and composed despite all obstacles and challenges.

Success Secret:

They never allow any negative thought to enter their minds. Whenever something negative tries to evade their minds, they just quickly shift their thoughts to something positive.

And the most powerful of them all…

9) YOU!

You have the combined powers of all of the above superheroes and can do anything!

Success Secret:

As long as you apply the success secrets above, you are invincible and unstoppable in anything that you do.
