In the next few days, our baby will get to see the world! My wife’s expected to deliver at ANYTIME right now - so as you can see, I’m very excited. This is the first time I’m having a daughter. (smile)

At the same time, I like to take this time to share my happiness with you. If you’re a mum or dad, you would know what I mean – and if you’re expecting to be one at anytime soon, I can tell you that this is a life changing experience.

It’s a realization how lucky I am to be blessed with a family. At times like this, we will realize how much the people around us means so much although there are times we take them for granted.

And if you have children and upset with them, just remember the day when you hold them in your arm, when they’re seeking comfort from you and how much you care for them then.

Let us all be gratitude with the love that we have from those who are still with us today- nothing, especially the recession, can be worse than not having someone loving you or someone to care.

(Moment of silent – take this time to be gratitude)

That’s great news, Patrick. Congratulations to you and your wife.

You’re right, it will change things forever.

You may even find that enough is enough, and that success in the family can be very satisfying, no matter how much material success you have.

Enjoy your daughter when she comes. She’ll only be young once.

    Congratulations,

Being a dad is one of, if not the greatest things to happen in your life. You think that you have all the bases covered, but as soon they are born, your whole life and values change! At least they did for me :-. We have four now and each one has enriched our lives.

    Enjoy her.
