Let’s say you inherited a house and found that it is actually more of a rundown shack. What do you do with it?
You have two choices.
Your first option would be to ‘get rid’ of it now because it has not much value and if you sell it soon, at least you can make a little money from it.
Your second option is to fix it up and then rent it out for a consistent income or sell it off for a neat profit.
I don’t have to tell you which option the millionaires and successful people will go for. That’s the difference between the ways they see the world compared to the man on the street. The man on the street will recognize the opportunity but they also see the problems and risks that they will face should they take the opportunity. Most of them will have too much fear to face the obstacles.
Millionaires recognize that opportunities and risks. In fact, the bigger the opportunity, the bigger the risk. Should the opportunity fall through, they can always make back the money they lost.
They move on to the next thing.
But that doesn’t mean that millionaires grab every opportunity out there regardless of the risks. That would be like going to the race track and betting on a random horse hoping that it will be the winner.
They take what we call “calculated risks”. They do their homework and ensure that their decisions are made based on knowing the facts. Once the decision has been made, that’s that. They either go all out and do it or they move on to the next opportunity. They don’t dwell on their decisions they have made after that, wondering if they did the right thing.
The average person will find the obstacles they face insurmountable and just give up or they wait and wait until the time is right. But they don’t realize that there is no such thing as the “right” time. There is only now, the present and if we don’t grab the opportunity now, someone else will come along, grab it, make a fortune from it and moved on to another opportunity.
Like recently- as much as the recession is affecting many people negatively, there are people who are profiting from it tremendously because they dare to take the risks and act on ‘opportunities’.
Here’s another thing about obstacles- if you focus on them, you can’t see beyond the horizon to the great possibilities. Millionaires expand their views to see the opportunities behind the obstacles. They move towards their goals and handle any problems when they crop up, not before.
No doubt it is always good to be prepared for all possible failure, but don’t spend all your time doing that. If you spend all your time preparing for every conceivable problem, where are you going to find the time to do anything to achieve your goals?
And one more thing about the winners- they don’t whine if it’s hard or lose out an opportunity.
I’ve been telling you this in many ways from my writing- TAKE ACTION. What do I mean by that? Well, if your goal is to become rich through stocks even you know nothing about trading, then start learning the ropes by getting a job at the stock market. I know it’s ‘painful’ to start from scratch this way, but what’s better way to learn by experiencing the process?
Last piece of advice- stop worrying about what can go wrong. Dive right in and deal with the problems as they crop up one at a time. Then you move on.

Yes Patric, we always have the decision on how we want to see the things what happens to us, always.
Is only a personal decision what perspective we want to take for the events on front of us.

Hi Patric I prefer the first option, I will get ‘get rid’ that house and get some money, with that money I\’ll create another opportunity, rather than wait and see what will happen with that house.
Cheers
