Interestingly, a lot of people claim they know how to be rich, yet many of them stay poor.

The things about these know-it-all people is, they are not open to the fact that there could be something missing to their equations. They just don’t see that if they keep doing what they are currently doing, they are going to continue to get the same results.

Until today, I still have this kind of bad attitude (smile). I guess it’s partly due to stupid ego.

The people who are willing to learn, who are brave enough to explore new territories are the ones who will prosper in the end.

In the 18th century, a group of brave explorers set sail from England, not knowing where they were heading and found the promised land – America. Imagine where we would be today (for those living in America) if that group had held on to their beliefs that the world is flat and if you sailed too far, you’d fall off the edge.

I’ve never fly an airplane before but I know a pilot will learn about what to do when flying through storms in flight school. But it is by actually flying through a storm that HE LEARNS.

Want to know something that sets the rich people apart from the rest?

They don’t mind going through the same learning process over and over again. Yeah, the darn boring process. For instance, they make it a point to attend seminars on wealth despite already being wealthy because they know that if they can pick up even just one new thing to try out, it would be worth it. Really, it’s true.

Try this- the next time you attend a seminar, watch out for those who go to back of the room to buy the speaker’s product at the end of the presentation. If you attend another seminar and he happens to attend too, I bet you’ll see the same guy buying again.

Funny thing is, the know-it-all will say that they already know what will be shared during these seminars and they can’t afford to waste their time learning the same thing all over again.

That’s true too. I know because I was in that shoe- I was trying to grow my business but it seems to be ‘stuck’. I KNOW how to fix it and yet I can’t change it. Well, sometimes, even if it’s the same information that can solve your problem, but when you got it from a valuable source that you trust, you will see it differently.

Put it this way… if you believe in God and suddenly, you met God in person and God gives you the advice to appreciate your life- I think you’ll do it with no questions asked although, you already know that you should appreciate your life.

Make sense?

As we have ascertained earlier, you can’t expect to be doing the same thing over and over again and expect to get different results. Something has to change in the whole system in order to break the cycle and get better results.

Therefore if you think that you know everything, if you don’t stop being so full of yourself and open up your mind to receive new things, how are you ever going to improve your results? Sounds pretty harsh isn’t it? Well, wake up – that’s call reality.

    Hi Patric,

    Thank you for the challenge.

It is true that learning never ends, as even the most mundane task can be done in a different way.
What is important is for people to be open, and adopt ideas that are gainful, or make life a little easier. Dillydallying can also contribute in people not beginning new things, even when they know it would be beneficial to them

Thank you for the challenging article.
It is true that learning never ends, as even the most mundane tasks can be done in a different way. People should be openminded and adopt ideas that are beneficial to them.
Dillydallying is another reason people don’t start new things, even when they know this would be beneficial to them.

    Right on Patric,
As usual you have hit the nail right on the head! I continuously try to learn something new or a new, more efficient way to do a task. I also get frustrated with the know-it-alls who will not adopt a new way to do something….reminds of union members who will only work in the field of their union training….even when there is no work they won\’t do another job.
Learning something new or adapting a new way is also good for the longevity of our life as it keeps the brain young and versatile.

You never cease to amaze me my lovely friend. Each time you write to me I am even more amazed at your ability to have commanded the English Language so well. I would never be able to to likewise with your language.I just wish you could sort your telephone ideas out a bit more because otherwise people can not email you even if they wanted to. You make me laugh when I come on to the page where all this email stuff is and I do not mean to be rude but it is just the way you actually provide the message to your visitors about where and why you will not be answering this email and where and when you will not be answering the other one either? Even though it is just up above from the original email place that you chose.

So what will you come up with next my friend?

Thank You for your article. We really never stop learning but at times someone has to remind us who we are and change your thinking. There are many ways of doing things so we need to keep our minds open to the different ideas that are presented to us.

When someone does not know and does not know that he does not know he has a long way to go.
But when someone does not know and agrees he does not know his problem is half solved. Because only then will he want to learn, and only when he learns he shall know.

It\\\’s felt at times we were all on a massive reality show like Joe millionaire in which a critical fact, like Joe\\\’s enormous fortune, was subsequently revealed as phony . Except we all are the producers and viewers of this particular reality . And like watching reality shows, we have adjusted our vision to the new twist and turns of fact and fiction. The most astonishing aspect of the Jason Blair\\\’s scandal, after all, was that many people who appeared in the Blair\\\’s fictitious accounts didn\\\’t complain about the inaccuracies because they didn\\\’t expect any better from the press . Their skepticism was so deep it saved them from disillusion. Like Frodo, they knew what they didn\\\’t know-and didn\\\’t expect others to be any less fallible. Which, after a year like this one, is the surest form of knowledge we still have
