There are rules governing you that attracts or repel you from success. The Universe have ‘rules’ – that’s how Law of Attraction principle work so well for many.
Tiger Woods made me aware of this in his latest public statement. If you haven’t read that before, you can read it by clicking here.
Extracted from the website above:
I stopped living by the core values that I was taught to believe in. I knew my actions were wrong, but I convinced myself that normal rules didn’t apply. I never thought about who I was hurting. Instead, I thought only about myself. I ran straight through the boundaries that a married couple should live by. I thought I could get away with whatever I wanted to. I felt that I had worked hard my entire life and deserved to enjoy all the temptations around me. I felt I was entitled. Thanks to money and fame, I didn’t have to go far to find them.
I was wrong. I was foolish. I don’t get to play by different rules. The same boundaries that apply to everyone apply to me. I brought this shame on myself. I hurt my wife, my kids, my mother, my wife’s family, my friends, my foundation and kids all around the world who admired me.

In life, you’re given a set of rules to follow that are not written in words. Your job is to be alert and know them. As a matter of fact, Success has already laid out to you how to win the game! For instance, the core values like being persistence, have confident in you, stay positive, abundance mentality and so on are just part of the rules to achieve your dreams and goals. Can you argue with me that if you live fearfully, always think negative and so on, you can achieve success? Of course they don’t help and that’s not playing by the rules of success!
By now, if you didn’t get it, I’ve just given you the greatest hint to success.
But the good news is, you can play the game of success with extra advantages and it’s allowed as long as you don’t break the rules.
And these advantages can be found in KNOWLEDGE.
For instance, you could be a self-confident chap right now but the fact is, you can be even more self-confident if you know the strategies how to improve yourself. How would you know your limit or potential if you are having the assumption that you already know? Big mistake.
And this is not just towards being self-confident or something like that, but EVERY KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND TALENT you have right now in you. Crazy, huh?
This is why, I’ve continue to read books and listen to courses related to personal development and success achievement - it’s not because I don’t know how what I don’t right now, but because I don’t know what I don’t know yet.
Only with the right knowledge, I can play the game better.
You don’t win the game by just knowing the rules. Wouldn’t you be able to play better Tennis if you know how to hold the racquet firmly, when to swing and how to swing it than just knowing the rules? I rest my case.
One last point, the opposite of winning is losing. Don’t worry about others lossing if you win because in the game of life, everybody can still be winning when you win.
Feel free to leave your comment - I read every single of them and always appreciate my reader’s feedback.
Thanks.

Thank you, Patric. What you have done for me is a reminder to return to thoughts I had almost 40 years ago while studying the words of Buckminster Fuller. There are the Laws of Universe and then there are the Laws of Man. And what you bring forward in your post is the fact that what you are discussing are *not* the Laws of Man, although someone might think you’re discussing some sort of social rules laid out by “society”.
Whether discussing Laws of Attraction, Laws of Success, or the Golden Rule of how we treat our fellow inhabitants of Spaceship Earth, we are dealing with the fundamentals, the Laws of Universe. And no “Law of Man” can change that.
Such thoughts have always made me consider the idea that in order for us to successfully evolve into the future, whether individually or collectively, we must align the Laws of Man with the Laws of Universe. There is no other way for us to succeed. Violating the Laws of Universe will condemn us to failure. While adhering to them will empower us to succeed.
Peace Be With You, Patric

Dear Patric,
To go by the rules is to allow for no exception. If you have exceptions, you might as well have no rules. Yes, there are rules to follow in any game, and in this game called life, if you are unaware of them you will certainly not get anywhere or maybe even get into trouble. I am a social psychologist and as such I am aware of self-fulfilling prophecy, or that frame of mind which causes you to realize your hopes and dreams or turn fears into disasters. I know that to have a manifestation of your wants or wishes, you have to nourish them constantly or continuously without allowing fear or doubt to rear its ugly head. Success is something cherished by most everybody. But there are those who fear success. I am not one of them. When I think of something, I go for it. I maybe derailed along the say on the road to success some of the time. But I keep on keeping on most of the time. In the long run, I get what I aim for. It may take sometime, but with persistence, perseverance and patience I ultimately get what I aim for.
Thank you for your email. It validates my belief that to go by the book, or following the rules, one cannot go wrong. Thank you again and again thank you.
Very truly yours,
(Miss) MIGEN L. OSORIO
Thanks for this Pat. When a man refuses to play according to the rules of any game, he is merely inventing his own game. The TW statement is very instructive to a world that is constantly trying to shift the goalpost in the middle of the game all in the name of trying to be different. I believe in thinking outside the box and do teach it but when it comes to CORE VALUES that govern creation and our collective existence, those laws are sacrosanct beacuse the God who created the universe upholds all things by those laws. I laugh when people say they break the laws. In reality, you can only go a short distance before the law breaks you!
Being positive externally does not necessarily coincide with a winning mindset. Personally I am a very positive up beat person, yet I am plagued with self doubt and fear of failure, which can be so great it inhibits me from making the first step. Another hidden negative attribute is sabotaging one work to make sure he (she) fails, even though the time and effort were put in with a conscious belief that all was done right, but low and behold the work was sabotaged by the very person doing the work. I would really appreciate some input on how to make sure ones external optimism is real and throughout his (her) conscious and subconscious mind. I know from past experience the power of the mind to either ruin or improve the venture.
Open to all suggestions that do not cost money, for I have none.
THANKS
thnk you Patrick, ur article s somthing like a reminder that yes…. there are rules laid before us and that in everything we do,we should align our moves with these rules. Thnx so much. May God ever bless you
Hi Patric
Funny I should find this article now as I just wrote one for my website that is similar in sentiment although you put it much better than I did! (writing is not my greatest forte) I’m going to post a link to this article.
awesome!

Hi Patric, this submissions are true, i have come to understand that there is no absolute freedom anywhere and because people sometimes fail to take in this truth they end up having problem. It is not all about starting well but continuing well. The rule that get you started is the rule that wil keep you succeeding.
it gives a feeling of normalty , knowing that , one is not alone in their endeveour to better them selves,to me its a great challange to see others doing great stuff, but i think taking the first step is the hardest part, how does one start, coz at times i feel as if am an aeroplane prepped and ready to take off , but just wondering about on the runway, can anyone see what am seeing?
This is such an eye opener! We all know the rules at the back of our minds but sometimes we just need a reminder of them because so much things get in the way that they overwhelm us. Good job!
Wow! I had no idea Tiger said that! What a great testament that speaks to just how important living in accordance with your values is.
Very nice, and truthful blog post!

Sorry about the duplicate comments Patric. The security code kept saying wrong code, but apparently it was working.
