Another year had passed. Life’s continue to grow… towards what you want or the other way around.
Did you set a goal in early 2007? Well, did you get what you want by now– after 12 months of working hard for it? Apparently, most people don’t. That’s the problem with setting goals.
We cannot be setting goals trying to get what we want. Then it’s a chasing game which will worn you out. Maybe not for you, but I know I will when I’m chasing ‘something’. The goal must be part of us– My goal is to be who I want to be and where I want to be at mentally and physically.
You have to set goals that to be achieved internally so that you can see it, taste it, smell it and feel it.
Wealth. Love. Connection. Knowledge. Experience.
What you want to achieve?
Maybe, there are other lists of fulfillments that I’ve missed out above. You see, someone cannot be successful simply because he’s financially rich. That’s really silly and to a certain extend, pathetic. Success is something subjective to each individual and you need to have a balance to call, ‘success’.
But if you were to evaluate what’s success– it boils down to being happy.
Isn’t that the emotion you’re seeking, consciously or unconsciously? When you’re successful, you’re happy.
I’m not trying to play Zen Master here but to make a point how sometimes, we make our life complicated without understanding the true purpose of our action. Life doesn’t have to be that way.
You won’t get an answer by reading this blog but more questions for you to ask yourself because by end of the day, it is you who decide what is success and what is happiness.
There are a few things I’ve learned from observations and experience in 2007. I’m glad to share with you if by any chance, it can shortcut your journey to obtain the success you’re seeking…
i. Your mind attracts what you want. This year, I have my fair share of enjoying successes and experiencing setbacks in life. And when I sit back to think of it, they come in ‘sequences’. Once I’ve gained success, I’ll have the momentum to get another one. When I failed and live in that state, another failure will come again. I don’t know, some called it Law of Attraction. To me, I strongly believe that you get what you want based on what your mind thinks because it ‘attracts’.
ii. There’s one time Grandma falls sick and stayed in the hospital for a couple of days. When I visited her in the hospital, I felt blessed that she’s still in this beautiful world. Although it’s nothing serious, but my heart tells me one thing– nothing in this world will give me the same love and relationship I have with her.
There are only two factors that will remove your love and relationship with someone you care– when he/she is longer here or you have ignored the treasure you have today for something that is less valuable but perceived to be. Let me warn you– once they’re gone, they’re gone. You should know who to call, hug or kiss by now.
iii. Know your roots. If you’re successful today, you’re probably a ‘nobody’ once. Always be humble because it will give you more success in life. I mean, isn’t that how you be where you are today? Knowing your roots also means that remembering those who have supported you when you’re growing and be by your side through thin and thickness simply because they don’t have a reason to be with you. They are just there because they want to be there for you.
iv. Explore life like there’s no ending. Listen to new music. Visit new places. Eat at new restaurants. Play new sports. Meet new people. And an endless list of things you can do regardless of whether you’re wealthy or not. You see, money doesn’t stop you from exploring life. Obviously, you can’t do many things that Bill Gates or Richard Branson can do but there are easily hundreds of things you can with what you have today. Do you know why we live? Again, I don’t have the answer but I’m 100% sure it’s not to work and whine what we don’t have.
v. Life is great. As I’m writing this, I’m in my new condominium with nice yellow lightings, listening to a wonderful music and Emily is doing a cup of coffee for me. I can feel the cool breeze coming in from the balcony while sitting on a soft brand new, purple sofa. In front of me, I can see I see a mirror– and when I looked deep; I thank God for giving me this amazing life. Not because my Ego’s saying I have an amazing life, but it’s really true. You have an amazing life whether you want to admit it or not. There are people sleeping on the street today, wandering to look for food and so on. Because you’re reading this, I dare to assume that you have a computer– which also means that you’re under a roof and an educated person. You have eyes to read and a wonderful brain. For that, life is already great. The rest are bonuses.
Some might complain about being financial broke. You can be broke but you can never be poor. Broke is a temporarily state that can be changed. It might not be now but with sheer persistency and effort combined with using the right information and willingness to take action, it’s just a matter of time before you look back satisfied and said, “I was once broke but now, I’m wealthy and living the life I’ve always wanted.” Does that sounds good? Then, why not make it a reality because you “Chan”.
I wish you the very best for 2008 and I look forward to continue giving you strategies and resources to become who you want to be and reaching the next level of where you want to be.

Hi Patric,
Merry Christmas to you and Emily.
Wish you have a greater success on the incoming years. (I believe you can achieve that.)
Take care,
Patric,
Just wanted to wish Emily, and you a wonderful
blessed Christmas.
I wanted to take the time to say how very much
I enjoy reading your blog, I get so much inspiration from reading about you, and your success.
You are helping people all around the world.
You are a great inspiration to alot of people.
Keep up the good work.
Hi Patric,
wish you and Emily a wonderful blessed Christmas.
I enjoy reading your blog, there are so much and wonderful content in your blog,it help me a lot thank you .
Keep up the good work.
Dear Patric,
I wish you a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. When my grandmother was in the hospital, I was far away. She haD pneumonia. She told me on the phone that she thought it was the end. It was such a surprise. Although she was 81 (American years), she was very healthy. With my mother, the same thing. She had a stroke. My father died a few months after my mother from an operation and stress. They were all so healthy. No one thought of old age as the cause of death.
I am an American teaching English in South Korea. I go to the All nations Church in Seogwipo City. the pastor loves the book Deutoronomy in the Bible. It is about the Israelites in the desert.God had freed them as slaves in Egypt. They had seen the Red Sea parted so they could walk on the sea bed across it. The sea closed over the Egyptians who were at their heels.
In the desert God fed them and their clothes never wore out. But they grumbled about eating the same thing everyday and wearing the same thing. They eve God told them they could have Canaan, if they went for it. They believed the scouts that returned and said that they couldn’t fight the giants they had seen, or capture the walled cities. The Israelites even wished they were back in Egypt as slaves! They feared being taken as slaves if they attacked the peoples in Canaan. Two of the scouts said, yes, they could do it, because God would help them, just as He already had.
Anyway, the unbelievers had to spend 40 years in the desert, even though the trip to Canaan took 11 days! They died there. Their children, who trusted that God would help them, were led by the two scouts who had believed, and captured all of Canaan. It wasn’t totally given to them. They still had to face their fears and face the enemy.. But once they were initially successful, the rest of the enemy ran away.
It’s a great story and a true one. There is a lesson in it for us today. We don’t get to see wonders like the Red Sea being parted for us, but we still need to face our fears, whatever they are, and go for whatever we perceive our Promised Land is. Christians should ask God for help and believe they will get it. When we ask, we are putting the Law of Attraction in motion, as well as asking for supernatural guidance and help.
Like the Law of Gravity, the Law of Attraction applies to everyone, not just Christians. It is working, no matter what we think or do. It is up to us to use it for our benefit.
Dear Patric,
I like what you wrote and agree on how true it is. Life is a series of experiences to make us become better and the lessons are all meant to fulfill a greater overall purpose. I celebrate your success and wish you more abundance as the world needs successful stories to lift our spirits up and give us hope.
Thank you for being that role model and I pray and hope that I will achieve the online business success too.
Merry Christmas to you and Emily.
May God bless your whole family!
Warm regards
patie

hi Patric wishing you and Emily the best christmas yet and a healthy-wealthy prosperous 2008. many thanks for all you have done and inspired during the past year and the help and kindness you have shown and given many many people. keep up the good work your rewards are limitless. the caddilacman
Hello Patric,
I want to wish you and relatives a merry Christmas and a great New Year 2008.
Acording to Lao Tse, to be rich is to have more posibilities than needs. It is not a matter about how much money you have in your pocket. If you have ten dollars and you do not owe to anyone just one dollar, and you do not neeed anything worthing more than ten dollars, you are rich.
Rich, and poor are two words that mean nothing in the natural world and in the universe. Those world, like any other only lives in the human beings mind.
As soon as people forgett theese and other worlds lika black, white, First world, third world, etc.
fredom should be posible and a free man is whatever he wan to be, rich, poor, etc.
We are all made with star dust; the energy that give us live is the same that moves the universe, and our born was a love’s miracle.
We do not need any more to be riches, it is not so?
Ceers
Thank you Patrick for your incredible optimism. A valuable lesson to us all.
Wishing you a merry christmas and a successful and happy 2008
Hi Patric
I’d like to thank you for your constantly positive and inspirational words you share with everybody.
I don’t want to become rich or be particularly succesfull in my life because I am afraid that I won’t be able to handle it.
Being humble and content are certainly the best quality people can proud themselves to possess: they are enough to make us happy and give the chance to see defeats like learning lessons rather than failures.
I wish you all the best for this festive season and may the Year 2008 be the best ever for you.
Warmest regards
Nat

Hi Patric,
Great to see a fellow Malaysian
reaching such a high level of success
within just 4 short years.
It’s sad how people get stuck in
daily life and having mental blocks
they don’t even realize they have,
and not taking the effort and steps
to learn what it takes to achieve
the life they want.
It’s sad, especially in our own
country… Don’t you agree?

Oops Patric,
Last but not least, Merry Xmas
to you, your family and loved ones!

Hello Patric
I’ve seen my comment didn’t pass the moderation.
Reading it again I realise how it transpires the state of depression I am into. It’s just that I am not very fond of X-mas for it’s commercial side…
I do apologise about it.
I only wish to make clear that I really admire you a lot for your energy and inspiration that I keep receiving from your mails.
I don’t even remember how long ago I’ve signed to them; must be nearly two years now.
You are doing a great job for yourself and for many of us reading your blog. Please do carry on. Hopefully i’ll be able to write another time when the state of mind will be more cheerful.
I wish you a fantastic festive season and may the new year bring you all you desire.
Best wishes. Nat

Hello Patrick! Life IS magical, and I’m only just relizing that no-one but I can do whatever I want with MY life. Giving uo grandiose ideas of quick riches, and, instead, concentrating on being a good friend, Mother and wife is so much more rewarding. And I can do it without giving up ME! Who wants to associate with a false, pretend, person anyway!
Happy Holidays to you and your family, from me and mine
Hi Patric
For you n ur family Merry xmas and wish you happy new year-2008.
thanks for your great messages, hope you will be with us in-coming years!!!!!!!!
thanks
Raghavendra
Honestly, I think a lot of people try to become better individuals as each year passes. Of course, we have to keep in mind that we cannot always wait for the new year to change. And as for number one, that’s is very, very true. One thing I learned this year is that the more you dislike working with a person, the more that person is pushed towards you. It is only when you see that person for what he or she really is that the cycle stops.
Dear Patric,
I wish you and your family to have a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year.
I have been with you for a while now and allways read your information/material and have a great time with your high quality no BS writings.
My intention is to make 2008 the best year so far and expect you to a part for making that happend.
Thanks again,
Lars

Hii…Patric
Wishing u a merry Christmass.Iwas inspired by this article. It opened a new page in my life. Asi am very passionate to write it will definitely be a source of encouragement to me for all times.I belive , if something happens in life it is for the good.I also strongly in favour that some times good experience comes from a bad decision.
Wish you all sucess in your life
Rudra, India.
Fate, Karma and destiny are such powerful words, because they make sense of things that would otherwise confuse us, such as why people are the way they are, or why certain things happen the way they do. You’re words are very inspiring indeed. Wishing you all the best for the coming new year.
